It's time to find out what you are curious about Christmas.

Let The Fackin' English Zone bring you some unwell-known facts about Christmas.

1. Christmas is not the exact birthday of Jesus Christ

Is it surprising you when you watch the recreating of birthing Jesus Christ a thousand times on Christmas Eve every year?

Christmas Day on December 25 is the day that the Roman Catholic Church chose to mark Jesus' birthday. In reality, Christmas is the day to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, who Christians believe was the son of God. Nobody among us knows the exact date Jesus was born.

2. Evergreens are an ancient tradition

The use of Christmas trees may be traced back to the ancient Egyptians and Romans, who used evergreen plants and garlands as symbols of everlasting life. Evergreen trees, such as fir or pine trees, wreaths, and garlands were used. Christmas trees also became popular in Victorian Britain. Modern Christmas trees were first used in Germany in the 16th century. Fruits and nuts were used to embellish them instead of glittering ornaments.

3. It's the busiest shopping day of the year!

Black Friday isn't the busiest shopping day at all. The famous Super Saturday is the Saturday before Christmas. The Super Saturday and the following days are predicted to be the first and second busiest shopping days in this year's holiday festivities based on trends dictated for post-Christmas bargains by the last few years.

4. Christmas wreaths are religious symbols

Wreaths have a variety of meanings and symbols, ranging from door wreaths to religious Advent wreaths. To different civilizations, each one has a particular significance. It symbolizes the spiritual belief in life eternal and the renewal of the spirit. It is a method for Christians to celebrate the miraculous birth of Jesus Christ.

5. Christmas was illegal to celebrate in the 1600s

It happened in Massachusetts in 1620. The pious Puritans who sailed from England found Massachusetts Bay Colony, and it brought with them something that might seem surprising for a group of devout Christians—contempt for Christmas. They called Christmas a holiday that some disparaged as "Foolstide." The rejection of Christmas as a festive period was reiterated when a 1644 ordinance confirmed the abolition of the feasts of Christmas, Easter, and Whitsun. From this point until the Restoration in 1660, Christmas was officially illegal.
