Where Christmas is celebrated in Summer?

Good morning from The Fackin' English team,

We are now in the summer of a tropical climate. Baby, it's hot outside!

And, we miss from the light to the chilled to the bone coldness of winter, or perhaps, we do crave the most beautiful time of the year - Christmas!

The world's a big place, after all.

We know that Christmas is always celebrated on December 25 worldwide. In reality, we only honor the day, not the season.

Some places in the world enjoy the Christmas season in July. Yes, you do not get it wrong. It is July of summer!

And now, we will find to the White Christmas in summer with The Fackin' English with some questions.

The first question is, where is Christmas celebrated in summer?

The seasons in the Southern Hemisphere are reversed from those in the Northern Hemisphere, with summer falling in December, January, and February and winter in June, July, and August.

Thus, Christmas in July or Midwinter Christmas activities are held in various Southern Hemisphere nations, such as Australia, South Africa, Argentina, Brazil, and New Zealand, to enjoy a winter feel similar to the Northern Hemisphere.

However, similar to the Northern Hemisphere, these countries still gather to honor Christmas on December 25 as tradition.

While not an official holiday, Christmas in July is slowly becoming the perfect excuse to eat, shop, and be merry in many Southern Hemisphere countries across the globe recently.

How has Christmas in July started to be so popular across the nations?

What would you think?

Beginning with the concept of Christmas in July was initially a way for people living in Southern Hemispheres to make up for missing out on that typical Snowy Christmas we have been dreaming of.

Moreover, one of the reasons might be that celebrating Christmas in July allows us to celebrate twice a year, allowing the holiday spirit to be experienced in different flavors and emotions!

With Christmas in July fast approaching, The Fackin' English will give you some reasons for enjoying the Midwinter Christmas.

No snow or bad weather is keeping you at home, no airport and road closures or terrible traffic jams, no being snowed in!

Instead of having ourselves at home and watching the snowflakes outsides, we can go anywhere. Yes, we can go to the beach at Christmas! Soak up the vitamin D by having some beers in the sun! And rock your summer Christmas!

The most attraction of Christmas in July in the Southern Hemisphere is undoubtedly the hearty and delicious food! Starting from the traditional roast with all the fixings and accompanied by the flowing spirits to keep you warm, to finish with the creamy Christmas dessert, from Christmas puddings to gingerbread pieces to a hot chocolate to really get into the Holy Spirit.

Let's just mention the seafood pleasure for a second. Prawns everywhere, fish you can catch yourself if you're away on a summer holiday, or shellfish you picked up from the surf.

Besides the food, another part of the celebrations is the special discounts, offers, and incentives in-store that make you feel like you're rushing around in December.

Otherwise, as a country from the Northern Hemisphere, Americans take Christmas in July as a great excuse to celebrate the summer, with a mix of traditional Christmas cuisine, a barbecue, and booze!

Christmas in July does not replace the real Christmas in December and is enjoyed as an extra celebration.

Have you had a summer Christmas? What do you think about it?

We are The Fackin' English,

We do miss the coldness and Christmas atmosphere,

And you?

See you in the next blog,

Have a good day!
