The origin of FIFA World Cup

 Dear crew mate Firouz,

How are you today? Do you have fun at school? Do you enjoy your Miss Leah dinner? Papa is in Qatar doing my job as a live reporter for World Cup 2022. It is my great honor, Firouz.

I miss you much as your excitement in discovering the world, crew mate. I miss your hug in the morning, your smile after you get home from school, and our enjoyment in the series Firouz's Bedtime Stories every night.

Miss Leah will read this message as an episode of our bedtime stories. Papa Joey would like to introduce you to World Cup, the origin of the FIFA World Cup.

Football is the King of Sports in the world. Before the World Cup was inaugurated, FIFA gave the football tournament arranged as part of the Summer Olympics the most prestige. But in the 1920s, the game faced a transition to professionalism that was not consistent with the Olympic spirit. Therefore, FIFA, as the sport's global governing body, made plans to organize a World Cup. The first official World Cup was played in Uruguay in 1930, and since then, the tournament has been held every fourth year. The World Cup has experienced successive expansions and format remodeling, with its current 32-team final match preceded by a two-year qualifying process involving over 200 teams worldwide.

The beginnings of the World Cup

The first official international football match was played in 1872 between Scotland and England in Glasgow, although at this stage, people rarely played the sport outside Great Britain. As football increased in popularity in the world at the start of the 20th century, the football game was held as a demonstration sport at the 1900 and 1904 Summer Olympics with no medals awarded.

At the 1908 Summer Olympics in London, football became an official competition.

In 1914, FIFA agreed to recognize the Olympic tournament as a "world football championship for amateurs" and took responsibility for managing the event.

In 1920 Summer Olympics was contested by Egypt and 13 European teams and won by Belgium. Uruguay won the next two Olympic football tournaments in 1924 and 1928.

In 1924, the start of FIFA's professional era was begun.

The tournament was operated as a game in Summer Olympics until 1928. Jules Rimet, FIFA's longest-serving president, wanted to create an international competition between men's football teams independently.

In 1930, FIFA decided to stage its international tournament, and Uruguay was named the host country.

My boy, it is how FIFA World Cup was created. It's almost 100 years of football history. The World Cup is the most prestigious association football tournament in the world and the most widely viewed and followed single sporting event in the world. People worldwide look forward to joining the heat of the sports' King love every fourth year.

Then, Papa Joey will tell you some interesting facts about FIFA World Cup 2022.

1. Qatar is the first Middle Eastern country to host the World Cup.

2. FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 is the winter carnival for the first time ever.

3. Iceland is the smallest country to qualify for the World Cup in the 2018 edition.

4. There are only eight teams in the world who have ever lifted the world cup. Brazil has won five times, while Germany and Italy have four titles each. Argentina, France, and Uruguay have won the World Cup twice, while England and Spain have each won once.

5. Lionel Messi confirms Qatar will be his last World Cup.

The global sport of football is the most popular on the planet, and the World Cup is the crown jewel. Papa Joey hopes my Firouz will enjoy the information about FIFA World Cup.

Papa will be back on December 3rd. Papa misses you much, Firouz!

Good night,

XOXO

Joey.
